"Huck Construction recently worked for the NHS Foundation Trust in delivering a partial refurbishment of the High Dependency Unit (HDU) section on the Wigan Infirmary site. Due to this being a partial refurbishment, there were very ill ICU patients next to the temporary hoarding. This required close liaison with the ward staff to ensure that dignity and privacy were paramount throughout the scheme and also keep infection control measures, all of which Huck adhered to and exceeded.
In my 17 years working for the Trust there have been very few Contractors on schemes who have bought into such a tight timescale and “Made” it happen. Huck Construction’s leadership ensured respect from all subcontractors and suppliers, who also bought into the “Team work” which was displayed. It really was a “Lead by example” and I have never seen a site with such a strong morale towards accepting such a difficult challenge of delivering this scheme on time, with no disruption to the other half of the area that remained in use.
Without their dedication the scheme would not have been the success it was. Huck Construction are a asset to any project and I look forward to working with them again in the future."
